State of Mind — a 250 sqm installation by Dan Ivascu Order
does not necessarily mean clarity, states Dan Ivascu. Order
will not help you out of confusion. Because it is confusion that
sculpts here, with order becoming a benign form of compliance. Dan
Ivascu’s installation is truly spectacular, because of
the way in which the weaving of toilet paper, sometimes placidly
symmetrical, sometimes irregular, corrupts the space, showing its
impurities and hidden disorder. The work of the artist is a permanent exhibition in one of Toaca Studio's rooms. |
