Windows by Delia Tancãu

With her first solo show at the Toaca Foundation, the student Delia Tancau proved a remarkable maturity in both craft and conceptual approach. Her works in glass interrogated in imaginative and appealing ways the motif of the window in the history of art — the window as a means of organising pictorial space, the window as indication of what lies beyond the image. Moving swiftly between transparency and opaqueness, her exercises challenged the viewer to a constant adjustment of focus.

The work of the artist is a permanent exhibition in one of Toaca Studio's rooms.
